I must say what ever you did to the feeder it's brilliant they just won't stop coming.

it would be interesting to know what you did to the feeder though.

It's working great Travis :)
This was one of the biggest change\improvement in the BOINC history.

I just cannot crunch them fast enough!

I've had to clear my cache due to a few units not being crunched, sitting there for almost an hour until they are reported as 'aborted', though not stated, presumably by the project, they do not subsequently appear in the task list, not even as aborted, just not there?

24hrs later and the wu's are still flowing. I've only been out of work due to inherent BOINC issues and not once due to MW! I think I've got BOINC set up to always crunch MW and keep all 4 cores on my quady BOINCing. It's set up a little counter intuitively, but what the heck it's crunching MW 24/7 (well only 1 so far but hopefully 7).

Time to head off to w#$^ and see how this all works out left to its own devices!

Does seem to be working.

Did you just find out about this change or could this have been done 4 months ago and kept a lot of the aggrevation down?
Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected?
If it makes sense, DON'T do it.

Interesting!!!

Mine's quite similar - 20k to 150k :)

Though this graphic should be the interesting one, involving the limit of the server:

I can confirm here that there does appear to be plentiful work about. Based on that I'm going to try to get a second GPU card up.

The server is utterly choking right now under the load... You will likely not be able to maintain your high levels for very much longer unless Travis does something else to lighten the load on the server...

I didn't even think about that..but yup that seems to be the problem.. and Travis is gone till Sunday or Monday.. : /

The ATI folks are killing the server with their requests for WUs, being that Travis upped the amount of how much the server is used.

Time to get another box for the server.. eh?

The additional demand on the servers is not affecting work distribution. But it is affecting access to different web pages (like these) and the uploading of completed results. The latter take several backed off attempts to complet to "waiting to report".

That *WILL* impact distribution. I've also had *DOWNLOAD* transfers go into retry mode. The situation is going to get worse as more people start trying to scramble for more work...

:sigh:
