It's the Health Insurance Industry in the US, They like It just the way It is and don't want any changes and are preying on peoples fears, You can see the fear in some peoples faces of course. Some People are believing the rumors and not the President and the Congress, Some went so far as to ask a Senator about a House Resolution and He didn't know anything about It as He's in the Senate and not in the House of Representatives and at the time there was no bill, But some accused Him of lying anyway, Wingnuts from the far right. Former Alaskan Gov Palin even spread a false rumor for Political gain, She not only Quit Her Elected Job, She then spouts a rumor which is so false It isn't even funny, I sure wouldn't vote for Her now, She's finished here as far as I'm concerned. I mean insurance does now what some are trying to accuse government of, Which isn't right as It's the Insurance industry and one company in particular that CNN noted 1st refused coverage on one lady and then just before She died they reversed their decision, Her death could in California be a negligent homicide, As I think they killed the lady and did It as thoughtlessly as possible.

I'm absolutely stunned by the lies told about the UK NHS in the American Media at the moment.

Yes ES. I watched the media debate shown on Newsnight tonight, and clips shown by Fox News - both from Euro MPs and so called investigation interviews.

Clearly the US medical insurance, etc, debate wants things left as they currently are - so leaving 45 Americans with no health insurance, and a further 25 million seriously under insured.

But the main blatant lies cane from claims that the UK NHS took up to 18 months to treat terminal conditions, like cancer. Absolute lies, and the from first seen to serious treatment is now down to between 2 and 3 months.

Second, the treatment of patients using advanced techniques is almost on a par with the US. But there is a few new treatments that are not yet available in the UK - like proton therapy.

Fox News is careless in researching its facts on a subject before it broadcasts. It falls squarely in to the camp of Don't let the truth spoil a good story.

Finally, one area that was claimed is that research done under private medical insurance is more advanced than state funded research in the UK.

So, who is currently the leaders in cloning and stem cell research?
