I cant find what cause this so I leave to run cosmology. My pc have win10 and install latest drivers (1 amd 270x and 1 NVidia 750TI). Hi everyone, does anyone experience similar problems as i do? Hardware, i7 3930k, not overclocked, Asus Rampage 4 Formular, 16GB 2133 memory and one R9 280X from Asus. about 2 weeks ago, the connected display goes black when running Milkyway@home, and the computer still seems to run. When i am connected from another PC to this one via the Boinc Client, Milkyway is still runnging, but all the tasks are stuck. I run 4 GPU-WUs at the same time, using the app_config.xml file. Milkyway is running alongside Cosmology@home, which only uses the CPU. I switched the GPU (with the same model), changed the Power supply Unit and completely reinstalled Windows 10. Still the same problem. It worked all fine until 2 weeks ago, and i didn't change a thing. When i run games on this computer, there are no problems either. I will try the 16.10.3 hofix driver now, but my hopes are very low. Does anybody know the cause of this problem? Or has experienced something familiar? "SETI@home is temporarily shut down for maintenance. Please try again later." When you do this we know that day we switch sub projects and Milkyway running smoothly after maintenance process. Maybe Jack stop sending WUs 1-2 hour every day and clear up the waiting validation WUs. And inform us for switching projects temporally at that time.

And WCG was listed in the BOINC list as for AMD, so I signed up. I assume they'll get GPU work eventually? Last 2 years no GPU work at WorldCommuntyGrid and I don't think soon. Poem project shutdown, GPUGrid only for highend Nvidia GPUs, Einstein@home left only one GPU application, Primegrid and collatz working but I don't interested them at all. I hope database not getting error "Workunits waiting for validation 2,132,479" and growing.

Getting some and one minute later again start to count 60 minutes. Boinc change the secondary projects and get more units then milkyway, so after 60 minutes boinc not get new wus from milky cause it has a lot of wus from other projects. @Jake Weiss You really think about WU length. Maybe merge 5-10 wu as a one WU. I know its need real programing problems but SQL getting relax. And when I look server statistics a lot of wu waiting for validation. Maybe because of validation queue sql cant responds. I hope you will find a solution soon.

(Message 65400) Posted 6 Oct 2016 by Rymorea Post: I think after shutdown news from Poem and A@H stop GPU projects and also GPUgrid projects not support old and low level GPUs a lot of boinc user comes here for crunching GPU WUs. So system become overloading and servers can not manage this kind of requests. I think managers try to re-arrange the WU lengths and gets a little bit long WUs. MY old GPU finished 1 WU nearly 33 seconds. Maybe more complex wus with longer calculation times relaxes the servers especially SQL bottlenecks. I don't like but I need to change project priorities and start to crunch prime number, collatz and asteroids as secondary projects. Don't say SETI I give up crunching it from 1999.

I think those coming from MS auto driver installation. today new Windows 10 Insider Preview build 14936 starting download, I hope I am not getting problems again :)

Installed the 16.9.2 (21st of september) driver. I still get the same problem. Driver crashes, and the WU which cause the crash at 100% gets stuck. Restarting just boinc only lets the WUs start from 0% but they are not running. Vortac, which driver are you using on Win7 for Boinc? An all my 7970s or 280X GPU don't get work any longer. The Milkyway server has 1150 WUs available currently. The 390X gets work instantly, but with the error mentioned above. New computer ID for the PC, because of the clean install. http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/results.php?hostid=705276 Hi Sebastian I have similar problem before cause I am using insider preview build don't use amd latest beta fix driver. Use 16.7.3 whql one driver. And before install it, uninstall it from control panel and don't restart use DDU uninstaller its reboot safemode and clean remaining parts and restart. After that install the 16.7.3 I hope this is help.
