RESOLVED, at least on my machine. I thought I'd go back in and try the water this morning and ended up receiving several new applications. One of which was milkyway_seperation_1.02_windows_x86_64_ati14. It appears to be crunching without any of the Compuatational Error messages I had a month ago.

(Win7x64, Boinc 7.0.64(x64), Xeon W3580, Radeon HD5870 w/Catalyst 13.4)

Just to clarify, it's the milkyway_seperation_1.02_windows_x86_64_opencl_amd_ati that was, and still is, causing the Computational Error on my machine.

As a volunteer I just didn't feel that going into my machine and removing drivers and downgrading to previous Catalyst versions should be necessary, especially when this was the only application that I could see which was effected.

Happy crunching everyone !

I allowed a batch of Seti AstroPulse v6.04 and Einstein BRP v1.34 to run and all of them were "Completed and validated" using BOINC 7.0.64 and AMD 13.4. So the problem is specific with MilkyWay. Once I read something has been addressed in this regards I'll go back in and reopen my preference to "Use AMD (ATI) GPU".

Me too!
It seems since I did the upgrade from BOINC v.28 to 7.0.64(x64) I now receive a "Computation error" with every (opencl_amd_ati) GPU work unit I do.

I read another post that left me wondering if may have been the update to AMD Catalyst Version 13.4

I'm running a ATI 5880 which I believe only has one GPU. After getting my 20 work units, 6 minutes later I got another 16. I had to go into preferences and turn off GPU work before who knows how many more may have flooded my machine. This has happened once before; any ideas? By the way, they're all running just fine on the latest AMD catalyst version 12.1.
