This seems to happen whenever an app_info.xml file is introduced or removed and there were WU's in the local store. Then those get flushed and need to time out on the server. This is what I experienced thus far when I started crunching with GPU.

Also working fine 12.3 on 7950.

On a sidenote: I experience that as soon as you'd have e.g. Firefox open and watch a YouTube(Flash) video, my Catalyst no longer uses the "OC" settings, but limits CPU speed down to e.g. 550MHz instead of the 1GHz that I set manually.
As soon as I terminated the plugin-container thread (Firefox-Flash plugin) in my process monitor, the clock speed went up to 1GHz again.

Hi James,
I'm currently running a 7950 (OC'ed), and I can only assume that your card should be able to do 900+ GFlops/s as well. However, I haven't checked with the default MHz setting (is it 800 or 900MHz?).

Here're 2 examples from WU logs (running Catalyst 12.2 drivers and CCC):
* at 1000MHz:
Estimated AMD GPU GFLOP/s: 3584 SP GFLOP/s, 896 DP FLOP/s
* at 1050MHz:
Estimated AMD GPU GFLOP/s: 3763 SP GFLOP/s, 941 DP FLOP/s

Not sure if this helps you.

Regards,
Tobias

Passed 1M for MW last night after a couple of days with one 7950 GPU.
Amazing to see GPU's burning through the WU's like that. :)

@FruehwF: Thanks so much for posting the XML file!
Got my Sapphire 7950 OC just an hour ago and it's crunching 2 WUs at < 90s!
(GPU 1GHz, Mem 1.270 MHz, Temp. < 60°C, Coolers 40%; set by CCC)
Even though it's an open case, I can hardly hear the card... I'm amazed! :)

Those did not get validated until just a day or so ago. On both of them the wingmate either never ran it or aborted it and it was sent to someone else to run and the returned it.

Ohh, I see... *lightbulb* :)
Thanks for the clarification!

Hello Matt,

I just checked, but the oldest finished WU is from March 7/8 (MW and nbody), so it does not seem to be the 2 days limit.

When I posted my question I had above 200 WU's on my profile stats page in total, now there are 194 in total.

But anyway, a steady removal of old WU's is understandable to not overflow the databases. I do seem to get the targeted points in any case. :)

Thank you for the fast reply and explanation.

Tobias

Hello,
I barely started 2 weeks ago with MW@H and reached my (tiny) first goal of 100K for MW@H (CPU-only).
During the past 8 hours my 2 machines finished several CPU-only WUs, they uploaded fine and were listed on the "finished" stats page with their points as they should.

However, reloading the same stats page (from my account page here) a few minutes later, suddenly there are less finished WUs than before, usually 1 or 2 missing.

I must have missed something in the FAQ, but what is/could be the reason that finished WUs first appear and the suddenly vanish??

Any insight/explanation is highly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Regards,
Tobias
