Check your DCF for Aqua. If the DCF > 90 the task will run in high priority. There's a thread on the Aqua forms about it.

I have a 64 bit Linux machine with a CUDA capable card. Getting it to work with BOINC hasn't gone well.

If you can give a general idea of what you'd like me to do, I'd be happy to get compiling ;)

Look in stderrgui.txt (I'm doing this from memory since I'm on a Linux box now) and see if there is a crash dump in there.

Now I only need a few 'recreational' hours (plus a few, plus a few, hey it's IT...) to install *nix. Any recommendations for the flavour? I'm not a total newbie, did some AIX sysadm in my early days (and not only smitty). But I would also like to use some regular programs like a spreadsheet, mail, photoeditor and stuff.

I like Fedora. But Ubuntu is OK too. I use Open Office for word processing and spread sheet type stuff. GIMP is good for high power photo stuff. For simple resizing and cropping I use KolourPaint (included with KDE), which is more powerful than MS Paint.

And back on topic, I'm going to install the new beta app (32 bit) in a few minutes.

Typical, first computer takes a day and the second one 3 minutes.

That's the learning process.

:-)

A day, heh, that's nothing. There are things I'll work on for a week before getting it right.

Congrats!

Many thanks from me too!

I had the .14 SSE2 running on my Core Duo (Fedora 9). Times went down for about an hour and a half to just under an hour. I found out that PNI = SSE3 so I'm trying the .16 SSE3 version now.

Running well on my Core 2 Duo (Fedora 7) as well. I'm getting ready to upgrade to the .16 release.

Thanks for the update, but I don't think this paper qualifies to be there. Our paper wasn't to the point of using the Milkyway@home data yet as we were still in the process of getting it up and running while we did the work in the paper on a cluster. The next paper would definitely work though as a of the work should come from you guys.

Thanks again, and if I am misunderstanding what the qualifications for the papers page is please let me know.

Sorry Nate, I misunderstood what you said. Once you get the MW@H data published, definitely put the paper(s) on that page.
