I was actually surprised that MW kept up when Collatz went down recently. So let's keep the fingers crossed :)

May the recent stability be a byproduct of the switch to slightly longer WUs? And more people switching to DNETC due to raw credits.

I made a few server side changes which I think might help the stability, so I'm going to be generating work and see how things go.

But if we have another crash we're really going to have to wait for that new controller.

I am quite sure that Travis knows what he is doing, and it's for the ultimate benefit of everyone. So lets support him and try and avoid this negativity :-)

Is there another feeder issue as I seem to be getting only one WU every two to three hours? No where near enough to keep my quad fed.

Looks like there was some database corruption last night (which maybe why you're seeing some database issues when looking at team information on the web page).

I'm in the process of getting that fixed, but I think before we start sending out more work steadily we'll need a new controller for the server. I've sent out emails to labstaff and my advisors to authorize buying one, so I hope we can have that in early next week.

Any progress on updating the BOINC server software?

Probably won't happen until early next week when the guy in labstaff who has been working on that with us is back from thanksgiving break.

The only thing I missing here is information, a short briefing about what happening in front page or a mail to top users whats going on, then they probably post a message to some shouts or team site. MV is now my second boinc project because if collatz is running, it take all gpu ignoring MW/collatz boinc share, fix that please.

Website Slowness

We've been looking into the website performance and it looks like we're going to be ordering some more hardware in the next couple weeks which should improve the performance. Until then you're probably just going to have to bear with the website slowness. I'm currently trying to finish up my phd thesis (I defend in less than 2 weeks), so I probably won't be frequenting the forums very much until then.

Yep, that is your/my/all crunchers here/problem? Admins here always, almost one week behind reporting whats going on here on server side. Only thing that I ask is little short briefing in less than one week time.

You're probably going to have to bare with me for the next couple weeks while I finish writing my PhD dissertation. After that I'll have a lot more time to watch (and update) the server and keep you guys informed.
