Strange, I have no problem with boinc 6.10.3, win xp 32 and 0.20 ATI, my mv racs on a 4850 is growing every minute and able to do some cpu work too, like malaria. I am very, very happy! Thank you all....

Must try a collatz ati and mv ati mix in one computer.
Sounds delicious with a 4850, with no work on mv

What is the button on boincmanager > advance > preferences > use GPU while computer is in use?

If not clicked in computer waits until mv cuda start up to 10 min, and if clicked in, it start ok, based on preferens: 'In use' means mouse/keyboard activity in last 2 minutes or what ever...bla bla blaa..

That button don't make any different in other cuda projects, but here it do?
Why?

I believe MW have the almost the same source code as Collatz, my 250 card on collatz is giving more credit than a 260 gpu on gpugrid.

Bymark

After several tests, here's what I see with calculation time:

1/ Q9450 (4 cores) and one GTX260:

- When CPU is idle => 5:45 mn.
- When 4 cores are running => 12:55 mn
- When 3 cores are running => 5:45 mn

2/ I7 920 (4 cores, 8 threads) and two GTX295 (4 GPUs):

- When CPU is idle => 5:38 mn (same time on each GPU)
- When 8 threads are running => 9:30 mn
- When 7 threads are running => 9:30 mn
- When 6 threads are running => 5:38 mn

I hope it could help.

Thierry.

Yep, less credit than gpugrid more than collatz or almost the same.
But works on 260 gpu's that don't crunch gpugid anymore, happy!
Credit/Wu could be higer or wu faster.......

Ok, after few restarts it works!!!!

But I install driver 190.62, BOINC 6.10.1 and detached + atached to projest and set only GPU...

It works witch AQUA@HOME CPU.

Win7 64 bit.

On GTX260 (625Mhz GPU 1348 Shader) = 11 m. 25 s. = 685s. 74.24 credits so 1 credit in 9.23s.

GPUGRID pays better..... (1 credit at 4-7sec.)

But MW app is "young" and I hope soon it will be improved to have better performance :)

It would be nice to have one boinc project accepting lower Gpu cards, boinc aqua and seti dos, but the aqua lagging and credit system is terrible, seti almost never tasks. So please, milky go Cuda!

My personal internet access is down for a few days so I didn't tried, so I ask the question(s) directly : is the CUDA project operationnal or not ? Has anyone tried with a small graphic card like 8600M GS, 8600 GT, etc. ?

I tried on a 8600GT.

Confused, should not the right error message be:

21.5.2009 16:29:12 Milkyway@Home_for_GPU Message from server: Server error: feeder not running

Or where is the first cuda wu appearing?
