Well we still need a CUDA app - my 3 Nv 9800s are getting bored with GPUGrid. :)

Try Aqua@home if you donĀ“t like GPUGrid :).

... just started up a new set. i've been trying to start different numbers of searches at the same time to see how it effects the convergence rates, so i have to wait for the previous batch to finish before i start up a new one.

Thats sounds very well. Do you think about add batch statistics/monitor on home page? (For example batch monitor have QMC or SIMAP)

Yes, 20 WUs per core will be better :-)

I think we shouldn't expect too much while the M@H team are looking into the server crashes - but I hope they figure it out soon!

Yeah, thats truth. I wish good luck to M@H team with solving server problem.

The problem behind this might be that the linux is using a 64 bit binary (where i'm pretty sure the windows does not).

Are you sure? I have downloaded astronomy_1.13_i686-pc-linux-gnu executable, it seems as 32b application? And on download folder isn't x86_64 application available.

We're working on getting a 64-bit windows system to compile on which will hopefully improve the times on windows.

Its a very good message for all users of 64b Windows OS :-)

Hallo, on our team board we discussed about crunching time of Convolution Work Units. We compared two machines and results are interesting.

'bosh - AMD X2 4200 Windows XP
WU-------h--m--s
gs_72... 00:19:39
gs_70... 00:19:41
gs_62... 00:05:26
gs_60... 00:05:25

LiborA - AMD A64 2800+ OpenSuse 10.3 64b
WU--------h--m--s
gs_74 ... 00:13:39
gs_73 ... 00:13:31
gs_72 ... 00:13:43
gs_72 ... 00:13:34
gs_71 ... 00:13:29
gs_62 ... 00:05:26
gs_60 ... 00:05:24

It seems that for non-convolution Work Units the application need a similar time for the WU in the same range. But for Convolution Work Units is linux application a more, more effective.

WTF? You only crunch 3 gs5's an hour with a dualcore Athlon64 4000+?
My Athlon64 3500+ single-core does the same. And it is not OC'd.
Or is it just 18cr per hour per core?

Yes this is per core

For this my comp is still credit system 6,5 cr per WU about 10% worse as for gs_3x WU.
For gs_3x I got about 20 cr/hour
For gs_5x I got about 18 cr/hour

Interesting!

On My Windows machine I get only 8 WUs per CPU per day but on Linux machine is different situation.
I joined my Linux machine today in project and yet I have 29 WUs downloaded (5 WUs from thiese was cancelled by server as redundant result - and the second interest think is that all of thiese cancelled WUs was sended to another cruncher after cancelation on my computer )
