Yep, that's what I saw. Future WU are .12 apps. Anything left from before seem to run under the old app (unless you delete it (I really need to do this)-I suspect it then has a conniption fit!)

Hopefully Travis will give a bit more of a reprieve. I've only got a few more to go of what I think are OK apps, but have been declared deficient.

Rick

The last time I reset Apps. I just did a quick detach / reattach and it worked fine. I guess since the wu's that I've got are still validating I'll stay with the .07 App. till it stops?

I'm not gonna get all philosophical on this but I WAS getting about 9k here (milsop's app.) and now less than 1.5k per day.( new opp app) I'd just like to see a reasonable adjustment.

again, how does that compare to other projects? also if you were using the optimized application on older machines chances are it's not bumping up to near the credit limit anymore, so you're seeing more of a penalty.

I'm running an '03server 3.0 xeon DDR2-400 Ecc Reg's So its a Quad... kinda.

EDIT: Is this about bumping the client or fair credits per cpu?
EDITx2 Sorry I'm not running an i7!

Thanks to everyone. I am back up and running again. I'll be anxious to see if someone comes up with a new optimized application. With the new credit calculations, I have some systems now that are getting a better credit per CPU second on Seti!

Just a statement made on another thread!

Which of the new lengths of wu's is going to be the one used for time being?

It should be the longer ones, in fact right now the assimilator should only be generating the longer WUs.

Considering I'm only getting 15% to 20% of the credit I used to,... are you planning to do anything about that in the future?

OK, The first full day of crunching the new opp. app. I dropped from about 9k using milsop's app. to about 1.5k with the new app. Yep, I think a little adjustment is in order. I dont expect to make as much as with Milsop's app. but I'd like to see about half as much anyway.

50/h but on which cpu?

I'm getting nearly 50 credits/hour on my AMD X2 5200 under Windows 32-Bit, too.
Would do a bit better under Linux 64-Bit I guess, but I haven't tried it out yet, my Linux-hard disk is a bit corrupt and I haven't repaired it yet. ;-)

Don't just think Linux is faster than Windoz! 64 bit windoz on Milsops app. did a WU in 10 mins. and it took 12.5 mins on Linux 64,.... same box, dual boot, 3.0 Xeon,...'03 server With DDR2-400 Ecc Reg's

What am I doing wrong? I am getting no work. I detached, and reattached, and installed the faster app. The old faster app worked great, but I am getting no work?

You must delete the app..xml file..

There is no "faster" app anymore, the production app is now the optimized app.

Just detach/reattach and leave it alone! There is no longer a faster app. Everyone is now on a level playing field! As it should be!

Bob, just do a quick detach/reattach of MW and you'll get work!

Edit: You will have to do it on all you're box's if you don't use an acct. manager

And now on to everybody's favorite subject :)

Since we've moved over to the new app, I'm wondering how everyones credit rate compares to seti@home (which we'll be trying to use as a benchmark).

Why use seti as a benchmark? Run your own project! Personally, Ive seen my credits cut in half just since yesterday with the "new" app. and I expect them to go down more with the first full day of work being processed.

Thanks Conan! I was going to run my windoz down and check #'s on Linux but I guess since you've already done it I'll stick with Windoz!
