I reckon its a combination of a work unit shortage and the very quick turnover in WU...

shame cos i have the fastest rig here and its barely heating the room

as the title suggests , my only crunching machine will get a few units, crunch them in a minute or so and then sit there for 15 minutes without downloading any more

is there any setting i can add to make it poll for more work more frequently?

when i do a manual "update" then i get another few minutes of work

hope someone can can help :-)

cheers

with the three threads, cpu use is only about 40% according to task manager

i suggest at the least reduce the quorum required before declaring a bad WU

even if its a temporary measure

still running at over 5% errors my machine stats show 400 at any one time

now we are in week three of this situation perhaps its time to pull all the rogue WU and start again ?

http://teamocuk.co.uk/cprojectcred.php?p=MWAH

the graph of output on the link above shows what an effect is being caused

is there anything any of us can do to help solve the situation ?

4.7% here
323 errors in my one machines stats pretty constantly

Please let us know a little more news about these bad units

Also the quorum appears too big, 4 machines have to show the same error before the unit is dumped as far as i can see

the main problem is that once the boinc client has an error computing it is much less likely to keep the cache full, so unless you nurse your machines they sit there with empty caches

a little update would be appreciated :-)

cheers

the news today is that broadcom has made the GPU code for the SOC open source
http://www.reghardware.com/2012/10/24/raspberry_pi_broadcom_soc_drivers_now_fully_open_source/

in theory this makes it possible to utilize the gpu for milkyway
any one sensible enough to have a look ?

:-)
