Okay, I'll check out the Colatz site for more info on that. My poor old XP box was running those for quite some time on the 5970 board. I was surprised they went down for so long.

Anyway thanks again guys. If I can get Colatz running again on that box I'll forgo running MW on it as I'm running them on my box at home now anyway.

I appreciate everyone's help.

This is odd, not finding cc_config.xml or app_info.xml files on this WinXP box.

I see Colatz is back up and now I can't even run that project for some reason.

Tried updating to Cat 12.1, the results are the same, still failing with validation errors.

I also don't understand the XML file not having usable versions for n-body and separation(modified fit).

MilkyWay@Home N-Body Simulation: yes
Milkyway@Home Separation: yes
Milkyway@Home Separation (Modified Fit): yes

I don't get any WUs with this. If I tick MW@Home, I get WUs, but they all fail with validation errors.

Running Cat 10.11

.....and here I was proudly explaining to all my friends how they should run MW too, just like me.....THEN.......@&%^#*% no new work!

How will I ever explain this to my wife and kids...Their father can't get new work!

Honey.....honey...come back, you really weren't supposed to see that post. It's ok, really. I promise they will have something for me soon. Really, they will, I'm so sure of it......Come on sweetie, don't be like that it'll be ok, I'm sure.......I swear it.

Maybe I should have asked this question first.....
Will Tesla processors run this project?
....and if so, does anyone have any performance results?

Just curious to know if anyone here is running Tesla co-processors on this project. And, if so, what do your stats look like on them?

Well, I see I stand corrected. My gosh that is such a site to see. It seems as though "Nemo" is carrying along through with the name he stands for. Strength and ability, reliability and resolve. (I've used "Nemo" as a logon name for work since the mid 80's and still use it today as a gaming logon to several accounts I have) and to see that the name has become, well, almost to say stardom, I am beside myself in looking at the two links you posted. I see myself kneeling and praising, "Nemo", "Nemo" , "Nemo" with hands outstretched and bowing down, over and over again and again. It's just an awesome thing to see.

Now, if I win the lotto any time soon, then there will be some competition rolling.

Does it seem as though he's doing the same thing, even though it's on a different project, or am I mistaken?

Gosh, I guess I should have mentioned that I am currently running MW on a pair of 4870s and because of that, I see a larger amount of time being lost while Aqua is running. Even still I figure that running MW and Aqua at the same time yields more credit over all than not doing so, so I just let them run together.

I mean, I might be considered by some to be a "credit whore", but, I'm not greedy!

I have noticed that running MW (GPU) and Aqua (CPU) WUs at the same time, causes the MW WUs to take as much as an extra 15~30 seconds to complete. These are not actual numbers from results, but from the "To Completion" column of the manager.

If you want maximum speed from MW don't run concurrent Aqua CPU WUs.

Since the New Year, MW seems (for me at least) to have been performing flawlessly. Now I know this is going to cause a rift in the system of things, but (for me) I have to say, "Hats off" to all the guys for keeping my GPUs fed and the credits-a-coming!

If there's been any hic-ups, I haven't seen them and that truly makes me happy when, just a few short weeks ago we all had a problem with being fed properly and lots of credit starvation.

I've almost restored my faith in the project, but because of this single post, I know, people are going to complain no matter what and there will likely be some server meltdown that truly displeases everyone.

All I can say is, "Just keepa crunchin'" and if ya gotta go to another project to keep the "credit-a-flowin'", then that's what we gotta do.

Meanwhile, happy crunching everyone and it's been a great beginning into this New Year!
17) Message boards : Number crunching : Credit nerf? And why don't I see my completed work? (Message 44982)

Post:
Well I just took a look at my valid credits and being that I only see one result after crunching WUs for weeks, I can't truly say that the "double counting" thing which "might" be the cause, has actually been corrected or not. Because there are no visible records of my completed work, I don't have any reference points to look at either.

I was hoping to find definitive answers to my questions :/

Typically, I never do any MW CPU WUs. I have CPU WUs for MW disabled in my preferences. This tells me your guess would likely be incorrect.

Anyone that "knows" or have at least seen the same behavior?

I've noticed that I was for some time, completing GPU WUs and getting 775+ credits for them. Then, last night I notice I'm only getting around 225 to 320 for the work I've been doing for the last several hours.

So.....did they nerf the credit again or are we just getting low paying WUs lately?

Now for part two.....

I've also noticed that the tasks pages on the web site don't retain the completed WU info for more than a few minutes at a time. I can fully understand that they don't want piles of completed WU just laying about on the servers forever, but how about a 24 hour period before purging the results instead of just a few minutes?

....Or is it just me?

I'll say this gently......
IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN
They refuse to fix the problems.
They refuse to admit the problems.
I truly wish they would just take care of these issues but whoever is in "charge" says "NO WAY" for some unknown reason. I just don't get it.

Here's an over 300 day old post I started that relates to this very same thing.

HERE

I came back to see if anything has changed since then and I can see from just the first few posts on page one of the Number Crunching forum, nothing has.
And....looks like it's not going to anytime soon.
