Are both cards connected to a display?
If not, try using a dummy plug on the card which is not connected.
Directions how to build yourself a dummy plug can be found on the net.
This helped for me (2 ATI, 1Nvidia card)

If you want to stick with the 6.11 client, use 6.11.7, this works fine with ATI WUs

@RadonPL

If you are using BOINC Client 6.11.9, switch back to 6.11.7
6.11.9 contains an error that prevents users from downloading ATI WUs for any project.

What if you Travis add there an feature where the application would read a file where a user could put the options as on app_info.xml <cmdline></cmdline>?

Good idea! I would like to be able to set those options for the standard application.

Maybe you could add this parameter and some others, like the w parameter, to be set in the user settings, so everyone can choose what fits for him?

I tried switching from appinfo.xml to automatic download, but i dont get any WUs

I am using Win7 64 Bit with two ATI4770 cards and one Nvidia 8400.
One of the 4770s is my primary display card.
I looked at this Machine on the your computers page, but it shows only the nvidia card.

so there still seems to be something wrong.

I will switch back to appinfo for now, to continue crunching.

Try using W1.3 in the cmdline option. That works for me with my 4770.

Seems to work fine for me.

MW ATI WUs are crunching FIFO again, Seti CUDA WUs too.
And ibercivis just downloaded only 1 WU when the other one finished.

So it looks to me as if 6.10.6 is finally a usable Version again.
17) Message boards : Number crunching : VPU recoveries with HD4770/XP32/Catalyst 9.x (Message 27283)
Posted 8 Jul 2009 by Raimund Barbeln
Post:
I always copy and rename the 3 DLLs when running 9.X drivers.

As a temporary workaround, i put my old 3850 back into the machine and removed the 4770. When running the 3850 with the 9.x drivers, I get VPU recoveries, too, so it does not seem to be a problem of the card.

So I am back to 3850 with 8.12 drivers until a solution is found.

I don't have the time to waste all my evenings or weekends trying to get the 4770 to run with MW.

I tried the driver which was deliverded with the card (seems to be 9.5), and it is better now.
I still get a VPU recovery from time to time, but it finishes quite some WUs before, as long as I dont do anything else on the machine.

Trying to start other programs while MW is crunching often results in an immediate VPU recovery event.

So, it is better, but not perfect yet.

I am playing with the settings now to get it more stable.

As I said before, i cannot update the machine to Vista or Seven at the moment.

So i will switch back to my old HD3850 Card for the moment and wait until a solution is found.
