Thank you for looking into this. My RAC is on the rise.

I agree that something is wrong; a validator is off-line, pending validations are piling up, and my RAC is plummeting. Is the MW staff looking into this?

I have been getting "Server error: feeder not running" messages for the past few hours. The server status page also show that the feeder is down.

I got through one time about 2 days ago with IE9, otherwise no joy. I have a 2nd machine loaded with Ubuntu and FF that is able to get through, but IE is not cutting the mustard. There is an obvious problem that isn't getting looked at. I guess we squeaky wheels are not quite loud enough to merit the grease.

I am still unable to get to my account page at all. But I can get to all other pages without trouble.

Looks like everything is back up and running, let me know if there are any issues.

I have not been able to access my account since the outage. I can get to all other MW pages and the crunching seems to be working just fine, I just can't access my account. When I click on the "Your account" link, all I get is "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".
12) Message boards : Number crunching : Little help for those using opti apps. (Message 44793)

Does anybody have any news about whether or not there will be opti apps developed for CPU machines running the new MW@H .44/.45 apps and/or the N-Body apps?

Thanks, Wes
13) Message boards : Number crunching : More of those 17_3s's... (Message 44165)

50% longer running (GPU)and proper credit :)

True for the GPU WU's. But all of the 17_3s's I've seen processed by CPU app 0.45 (SSE2) fail instantly on an access violation.

All of the 17_3s WUs sent to my CPU have crashed and burned in about 10 seconds. The last one I ran generated "exit code -1073740940 (0xc0000374)". It's not a big deal since they are not wating much of my CPU time, but I'm sure that these WU's were not intended to work that way.

BTW any Idea how long an n-body is supposed to run I've had 4 run 30-60 minutes and then one run for 20 hours??

I've seen N-body WU's run anywhere from 20 minutes to 40 hours (on CPU). There seems to me no rhyme or reason to how long they will run. It is really throwing the time estimates in my BOINC manager for a loop. It is forced to assume that they it is going to take forever and a day to complete each of them so it is constantly shifting into High Priority mode to get them done in time. When in reality it has plenty of time.

I just finished my first post fix WU and it completed and validated without any errors. Thanks for the fix! It's nice to be able to crunch for MW again. But I would have to concur that the WU's are now taking about 3X longer than they used to.

Like many of you here, my last 4 or 5 WU's crunched on my CPU all ended with "computational error". Each of them took 18 to 20 to crunch before they errored out. They subsequently were crunched and validated by someone else with a GPU. So I am going NNT and aborting all my tasks until this is resolved. I don't mean to sound like a whiner, but continuing to crunch WU's that are just going to error out is just a waste of my time and the project's time. I love crunching for MW and I hope this get resolved soon so I can start up again.

I had one of those too. Although the percentage of progress never advanced above 0%, the time to completion counted down normally and the completed WU valided just fine. So it seems to be just a glitch.
