Ok. Didn't think to look at that.
Ive been doing 12 hour days working, so I just come home, look quick and go sloth.
In theory should clear out by this weekend I guess.

I don't get it, I unchecked both CPU and Nbody, saved these preferences in main profile, got CPU still.
Created Home profile same config, same thing, still CPU.

Without having to write a app_config or cc_config for this (which I have no idea how to write an processor and specific task/project exclusion), what else can I try?

I am trying to get my CPU projects more time and since GPU's turn over much faster and give high credits (I have other GPU projects besides here) it does not matter as much how many projects run through them.

I am finding that my GPU is being underutilized.

What's a good demanding project for a GPU?

My system was down for awhile. I switched power supplies (550 corair analog to a 650 nzxt digital) and added memory and switched to a new case. I committed the most stupid of Duh/DOH errors when trying to power up the system. I was using the reset switch and could not find the power switch on the front panel. Hauled it to a computer shop. They had the same issue and then found the button. Then I have had the windows license key issue and had to go back to validating with win8.1 and then "upgrading" to wind10 which is already installed.

So I think a bunch of stuff got erased during that upgrade.

I Just reinstalled NVIDIA Studio Driver Version 431.86
Maybe I should go back to the Game style DCH instead? Maybe studio has something in it setup that the program here does not understand?
I will try that in my morning (Central EU time)

Can't find clinfo.
The various batch files I tried to use for this do not work.
I'll just keep hunting for a solution.
Maybe just reinstall drivers.

I just had to mess with windows, because when I upgraded my system (mobo and the works) windows didn't recognize the system. So I had to use a win8.1 key and then "upgrade" to win10 which I already have. Who knows what files that wiped out.

You bring up memory, I think that may be the problem though it does not say that (other projects will say something about memory in the error messages) since I am running LHC tasks. Their ATLAS sucks memory like a black hole.

But my memory compression/Free up program says I am only using 65% with ATLAS running. Weird.

Where did you use that code at? I don't play around with BOINC enough to know these things.

Complete error cycle is this:
Using SSE4.1 path
Error getting number of platform (-1001): CL_PLATFORM_NOT_FOUND_KHR
Failed to get information about device
Error getting device and context (1): MW_CL_ERROR
Failed to calculate likelihood

using NVIDIA Studio drivers...they are supposed to be better than the standard drivers.

plus..I am running other opencl tasks from other projects without a problem.
Amicable numbers has opencl and I don't get errors from them.

So I find it a bit odd that just one project crashes...

What do these messages mean?

33) Message boards : Number crunching : What is supposed to be the total run time on N-Body Simulation tasks? (Message 68092)
Posted 1 Feb 2019 by greg_be
Post:
I ran a task for 4 days (with other projects on Boinc) for a total of 22hrs CPU time and BOINC was saying it would need to be another 9 days based on the amount of time it still needs to run, which would mean about another 24 hrs of CPU time making it 46hrs of CPU time to complete.

Is this normal?
I have no idea what the current N-Body CPU time is needed to complete them. But I find 46 hrs a bit long or 13 days on my system also to be a bit to long.

**Task was aborted**

Failed to move file 'separation_checkpoint_tmp' to 'separation_checkpoint' (6832): This object is not allowed to be opened in a transaction.

Nbody tasks and standard Milkyway@home tasks all fail.
I reset the project, that did not work.
I don't know what is causing this.

Unless it is having a hard time writing to a external drive?
I keep all the project data there after I recently had a SSD fail after 5 years and 7 terrabytes of information written and read from it.
Thing is...all the other projects are there as well and do not fail.

I checked and 6832 is not a normal Boinc error code that I could find, meaning it could be a Server side error and maybe a MilkyWay thing in this case. I think you could PM Jake the Admin and maybe he can figure it out.

Already did, waiting for his reply.
Thanks though.

What's going on? This is the second batch of tasks that have failed at start up.

Also on the other tasks:
Failed to move file 'separation_checkpoint_tmp' to 'separation_checkpoint' (6832): This object is not allowed to be opened in a transaction.

1.42 NVIDIA tasks are running fine on my system.
I am not as powerful as some of you guys so it is about 3:52 hrs to process a bundle5 task.
I see the modfitconstraints2_2 and 3_3 showing dual CPU and GPU usage with a estimated time of 46:35 minutes mins.
