Posted 15 Apr 2011 by Marty Post: Thanks for looking into this Matt. Don't worry about fixtime. Fix it when you have time for it and i understand that it has not the highest priority since it's also a rather rare combination. I will run something else in the card in the meantime. |

Posted 15 Apr 2011 by Marty Post: Now did a rollback of BOINC to 6.10.58 because of this LoadLibraryA( F:\BOINC\Program\\version.dll ): GetLastError = 126 also didn't help. Btw Collatz currently runs without problems on this host. Is it possible that the binary is complied with SSE2 enabled? The AthlonXP doesn't have this but then i would have expected the WU to fail right away and not run till the end and then error out. |

Posted 15 Apr 2011 by Marty Post: Below are the errors i get. Any one with an idea is more than welcome. What i already did till now: - Reinstalled Catalyst 11.3 - Reinstalled Stream SDK 2.3 - Windowsupdate (which updated .NET and VC) - reseted project several times The job runs till the end and then errors out without an error message in BOINC. So it doesn't stop immediately at the beginning. ATI application updated to 0.60
(Message 47872)
Posted 15 Apr 2011 by Marty Post: I will change the version number once they get everything stabilized, but as the WU are the same no matter what it does not really matter at the moment. While you're at it then, you might also want to change plan class from 13 to 14 (at least 14 is, what the stock app has) in the app_info.xml <plan_class>ati14ati</plan_class> |

Posted 14 Apr 2011 by Marty Post: OS: Windows XP 32Bit SP3 CPU: Athlon XP2400 BOINC: 6.10.60 Application: MilkyWay@Home 0.62 (ati14) ATI graphics driver: 11.3 ATI HD3850 (AGP) Link to host: Link to Host Card worked flawlessly before. Now only errors. I had the driver reinstalled during the validation failure dilemma. From the error messages i assume DLL problem. Anyone an idea what be wrong? |

server initiated delete of outdated stars* files
(Message 33985)
Posted 30 Nov 2009 by Marty Post: Please implement a process for deletion, initiated by the boinc server, of outdated (no longer needed) stars* files on the boinc clients to prevent the project directory from growing endlessly. If you don't know how to do it you might ask your project admin colleagues over at Einstein. They always initiate a delete of files no longer needed in the boinc client directory from the server. This is kind a nice they have relatively big files, like here, stored there. |

Jan 24 credit change complaints/comments here
(Message 9074)
Posted 25 Jan 2009 by Marty Post: Hello. I've just wandered back in here are a stroll through SETI territory. I was checking my tasks and noticed that I had been paired against CUDA on a few. Most of the CUDA results were invalid (which is amusing enough in itself) but a few were passed by the validator. One CUDA was granted 53.81 credit for crunch time of 205 seconds, which equates to a credit grant of 945 per hour. Now given that DA's apparent aim is for all projects to match credit to SETI, I hereby call on Travis to immediately increase granted credit on all MW tasks by a factor of about twenty. What you see for CUDA is only the CPU seconds and not the GPU seconds. But it's always good if people compare things without having a clue. Without fixed credits my P3/800 will still make more credits than the C2D/1800. Great job. |
