Just got this computation error... First one for a very long time...The only thing that's changed is BOINC 6.10.14 any Ideas???

Theres your problem there... Athlon is AMD is it not?? So maybe try the AMD app.

Use cpuz to find out what your processor is capable of.. Ge it here http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php

Yep!! GPU is way faster better to use that, as Bandit said. He's given the link for the opti apps for gpu and the cpu apps are also there.

If you use the gpu make sure that you read and understand the README file that is included in the zip file...Good luck!!

I have the 1 laptop with an ati X13** series card which it seems that it can't be used in any of the dual CPU/GPU projects I have tried, If I was able to utilise the GPU on this machine I certainly would.

If you can do both then good more better for the project..

Sorry but you cant get rid of the cpu side, as Ice said if not for that no one would be using GPU or optimised apps, and you people who are whingeing about the work queue go else where

Doing some Rosetta till they get the problem here sorted as I dont have a compatible GPU.. I just got 3 wu's not a full cache, so it's an intermitant shortage

We had this problem a few months ago as there is only the one box for the server, it could be it is bogged down trying to feed all the requests.
Oh well 1245am sunday here goin to bed see how things are in the morning
