1) Message boards : Number crunching : need more time to do the work (Message 34684) Posted 19 Dec 2009 by dreamweaver Post: now that projects are over a 10 hour run time if you let your computer run only milkyway fine buy I run 5 projects plus other stuff it now takes a better part of the day to run a milkyway project at 65%of output on one processer ....we need more tie like a week for decent turn around i have had to abort projects because they were going to be late...mt pc is running boinc 92% of the time for your work lighten up and give us little guys a chance...we all can't spend 1000's for ultra high end computers....I have stuck with u thru the point fiasco...the week long shutdown so please give us a few extra days to complete your work...face it without us your project would be dead in the water......be blessed and merry Christmas and and a great new year,,,,,

(Message 32010) Posted 6 Oct 2009 by dreamweaver Post: they have said that they were giving to much credit for work done....what a load of tripe....i run 4 project teams and all i mean allgive better for the work done...do not get me wrong i did not quit or really gripe .....but the line they gave us is not troe....check it out if u don't believe me....i have run boinc a long while now ...they are comparing to projects that hand out little for the wear and use of your computer.....your wrong,wrong,wrong. seti@home for 1 poem@home spinehenge@home ...i rack up 2 to 3 times for work done......i have 4 teams and am in 95% and we got little guy computers ....k thats it ....whatever they do ok....milkyway is very important to me.....ball in your court....dout it that i get a good answer.................
