The main thing on running BOINC is to process as much data as possible and screen savers are a waste of valuable CPU power. If you want to protect your monitor just turn it off:)

Similar to the marketing done by the movie Cloverfield where they claimed that ships were disappearing in Asian waters. Check out the footer on the IHC website. Personal i don't think that this a marketing scheme for the move 2012 Roland Emmerich got some of his inspiration by Zecharia Sitchin and than went on producing the movie.. He has stated on BBC during an interview that he was a fan of Sitchin since he released The 12th Planet book....I'm not sure whats going to happen on 2012 and i have a feeling that probably nothing is going to happen but what you are saying is just wrong get the facts right before you start making statements like this.
