Hi, thank you for your reply.

Each one is working on a separate WU.

I didn't know both GPUs could work together on a single unit, but you are suggesting against it, since it would be less proficient?

They work together on SOME projects, not this one though I don't think. And yes mismatched cards working together is not very efficient at all, the faster one is always waiting for the slow one to finish. Meaning no crunching, by the faster card, is going on at that time.

From what I've noticed, since each card is working on a separate unit, there is no idle time between the two cards, the cards are assigned WUs continuously.

Also I've noticed no speed downgrade for the hd6970 after I set up the older amd card.

Am I missing something?

I did some google search, I came up with this outstanding info from http://www.overclockers.com, this is the full link:

The 1 = true, 0=false in the statement above. It does not mean the number of GPUs you have

Place that file in your BOINC data folder. In windows XP it's
"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\BOINC"
Not sure where it is in Windows 7.

Hopefully that helps since you already have 4 monitors up.

Now under windows 7 you should put the config.xml file in this directory:
C:\ProgramData\BOINC

Now my hd6970 and hd4850 are happily crunching WUs together :)
