They work together on SOME projects, not this one though I don't think. And yes mismatched cards working together is not very efficient at all, the faster one is always waiting for the slow one to finish. Meaning no crunching, by the faster card, is going on at that time. From what I've noticed, since each card is working on a separate unit, there is no idle time between the two cards, the cards are assigned WUs continuously. Also I've noticed no speed downgrade for the hd6970 after I set up the older amd card. Am I missing something?
