Why are finished tasks deleted so fast?
(Message 51133)
Posted 20 Sep 2011 by banditwolf Post: It was an easy fix to keep server load down at times in the past couple years and was left this way. I don't think it is needed as much now but it is still in place. |

Missing credits
(Message 50988)
Posted 8 Sep 2011 by banditwolf Post: Hi forum, Check on this site. Go to "My Account", then "tasks". Refresh the page as soon as the task is uploaded. You only have a few seconds before the task is deleted. Post 2 - I think the version I'm running is from the Berkeley site as the previous version kept losing the BOINC taskbar (not the Project task bar). That is a Boinc version, not a MW app version. Did you install another app or are you using the one downloaded from MW? Why does Einstein run without any problem ? This seems to be a MW only problem. |

assimilators not running
(Message 50547)
Posted 5 Aug 2011 by banditwolf Post: I have a problem: i've sent 13 Wus,but assimilator have not received anyone; so I can't obtain new Wus. Are you sure? The results are purged within seconds, and Boincstats shows you have gained 8500 points in the last day. The other possibility is ghost wus. (where it thinks you have wus but don't) |

Posted 27 Jul 2011 by banditwolf Post: Is there no cache limit in effect for the CPU app - or is this just a bug?Yes, it is the same for all users - CPU or GPU. That person likely doesn't have 2700 tasks on their computer. They are all timing out. Some users have had the limit of 10000 tasks. Read the "Questionable Cruncher" threads for a little more info. |
