Sorry about that, I made a mistake and the link didn't show, then I added the quotes because I thought it was falling over the link, but then I realized my actual mistake and fixed it :P I wish it would still let me edit it..

That is why the "preview" button was invented ... :)

Hit that and try the links before you post ...

Anyway, thanks for the hint I would not have gone looking for 6.10.7 today yet ... as it is, well, it is not blowing up tasks yet ... though I have not gotten new MW work yet ... sadly, and I don't quite know why I now have 90 Collatz tasks to work off ... roughly 25.5 hours of work in one swell foop ...

I am not sure if I got caught in the DCF bug "fix" or the readjust FLOPS on the server or both ... one of the problems is that Collatz seems to think I can do the tasks in 1:44 instead of 17:04 ... sigh ...

Well, I can always suspend Collatz I suppose ...

That's how I found the problem in the first place :P I used it again to see if the link would show up, but I didn't think to try out the link itself.

Looks like with 1 CPU project and 1 GPU project 6.10.7 really is working OK. About time too - no more babysitting and micromanaging BOINC. Now for MW to officially support the ATI app.

Over 3 hours of running 6.10.7 and it does seem good ... at least it is not eating tasks ... that was the initialization bug where they were recording reservations in and Active Task rather than a Result ... so that is good.

I have not tried it on a CUDA machine yet but, it is better about switching twixt MW and Collatz though I have too much Collatz on hand (90 tasks downloaded) that I need now to work off before I can see if it does fetching and balancing right.

I think I am still seeing a problem with LTD with the ATI card ... still too early to tell for sure ...

But at this time based on the problems with the other 6.10 versions I have to give this a qualified Ok rating ... qualified because of the short running time to this point ... still a use at your own risk ... but ... there is a real nasty gotcha in 6.10.6 so, if you are running that ... I would switch ... :)

6.5.4 for me, until someone gives me reason to change. The only reason I changed to 6 in the first place was because 'these new cpdn models won't run with any lower version.'
Cheers,

PeterV

Does that help with normality?

Reverting back to 6.4.7 after my "lovely" experience with 6.10.6. :(
It failed spectacularly once it discovered my ATI card and immediately tried to run CPU only projects on the card... Needless to say, it wiped out all of my tasks and now I have to troubleshoot my video card. It's going to be a long, long time before I try one of these GPU-focused BOINC releases for a while.
