MW Crunchers,

If you have a concern over a machine/user who is breaking the WU Limit rules, please list them here. Please use this thread to actually discuss them.

As the users are addressed, I'll hide the posts listing them in order to keep the thread current.

Please include links to users-thanks.

Thanks
Blurf

anonymous hosts that owns no co-processors, but finishes WU's in minutes (using anon apps as well). none of which seem to validate.

Computer 248785 850 WU for a 12 core machine with 2 GPU
Computer 141268 500 WU for a 16 core machine without GPU
Computer 141808 680 WU for a 16 core machine without GPU
Computer 86637 170 WU for a 2 core machine with 1 GPU

This would equal 48 WU per core instead of 6.

All belong to user TYCharley. Workunits are timing out.

A user with 9 BSD based computers kicking out thousands of bad results:

Causing many results to be flagged with "Too many errors".

To all who read this thread: There is a separate thread for discussion of people who are on this list. Please keep that discussion in that thread. It makes it easier for me to keep up with new entries. Thank you.

@Blurf

I checked this morning my pending results. 2/3 of them are waiting due to a wingman producing only errors and their status shows >100 wu's. I could post 10 to 15 questionabl's every day. Does that make sense?

Zydor posted a few days ago:

Because the people running the project want to know of hosts who are running out of control trashing WUs, and would like to be notified when one is spotted. Its a massive waste of server assets and disc space when tens of thousands of WUs - arguably hundreds of thousands - a day get trashed for no other reason than extremely poor local PC housekeeping.

I mean, a search in your database would bring up more than 'hundreds of thousands' bad wu's and the questionables. This may be better than doing it one by one here.

Guys--I've already escalated this one twice...it's an Anonymous user with no link to his profile for me to PM him. If you can link me to his profile I can do more.

Werkstatt--If it's a wingman issue it's not their fault. Leave em alone. If they're improperly hoarding WU's or you can tell they're using an old invalid app, list them and I'll address it best I can.

Again it is being worked on...all users who are on MW have a registered acct. If anyone could link me to their profile page I could do more. I've sent up a request to have this issue addressed ASAP.

UPDATE: As soon as Matt can access his profile page, he will be sent a PM. He/she will then be given 24 hours to correct the situation before further action is taken.

I've done a little bit homework:

Those with the outdated driver a have allready send a PM.

But I thing they shoul be contacted by real e-Mail from an Admin, because I think this crucher don't often log in to MW Page.
[edit] I think this list could be get very much easy by a database query something like This

SELECT * FROM aHostTable
WHERE GPU like '*1.4.553*'
OR GPU like '*1.4.737*'
OR ...

[/EDIT]

driver outdated

I have PM'ed another list of users with outdated catalyst driver:

http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/show_user.php?userid=122466
http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/show_user.php?userid=131550
http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/show_user.php?userid=141747
http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/show_user.php?userid=119614
http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/show_user.php?userid=78653
http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/show_user.php?userid=92076
http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/show_user.php?userid=94313
http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/show_user.php?userid=144323
http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/show_user.php?userid=87158
http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/show_user.php?userid=125890
http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/show_user.php?userid=144323

But it is frustration: no answer. I think they are not informed about PM on their real email adress.
@Admins can you do somthing (e.g. Set the forward option in these accounts)

I think the lost of performance for the project due to outdated driver ist 10% -> 50 000 GFlops.

1. Error while computing: 299783

2. This one we had already, it's "Max tasks per day" are frozen at 10000, so he is still trashing thousands of WUs a day: 287508. The project admins should really look at this quota system problem ASAP, that would solve the problems with most of the "questionable crunchers".

EDIT:
3. 247682. Also his "Max tasks per day" are frozen at 10000.

The other one is anonymous, but should be soon stopped by the quota system.

I'm suspending this process for now as we are just getting repeats that we've tried to address earlier. Until this process is cleaned up, we'll try it again.
