Hello Travis and Matt,

After the new ATI-app was automatically downloaded I got errors and read that updating the Catalist driver was a good idea. I did that to 11.3 and rebooted the system. Now it is running fine on an i7 with windows7 64, 12GB ram and 2 HD5870.
But the cpu use is know 100% but in the BOINC tray it is saying 0.05 CPU.
I tested it by suspending einstein@home wich is using 6 cores.
I see its also on the core temperature as they are higher since.

Hope you can find something.
Greetings from,

Another thing I noticed is that previously, before all the issues and the new ATI-app, my GPU's were running constantly at 91°C.

Now they are varying between 73-77°C.

As the CPU runs higher the fan's are running faster and make more noice.

That's because your GPU is running at a lower utilization. With the old app it was most likely > 97% GPU. Now it's lower and slower (and hogging a CPU core).
