Sorry for offtopic. My machine wanted again - after a longer break - MW@h WUs. My machine: E7600 + GTX260, WinXP 32bit, nVIDIA driver 275.33, stock - no app_info.xml file, BOINC (V6.12.33) message: Milkyway@home 13.02.2012 21:02:40 Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. Milkyway@home 13.02.2012 21:02:40 Requesting new tasks for NVIDIA GPU Milkyway@home 13.02.2012 21:02:43 Scheduler request failed: HTTP file not found It's my machine or is there something wrong with the MW@h scheduler server? Thanks. |

it looks like you might need to detach from the project and reattach so that your host finds/downloads the HTTP file again. remember to save a copy of your app_info.xml file if you use one, b/c detaching from the project deletes everything in the project folder, including any app_info.xml. also, if your host automatically tries to download the v1.02 application (instead of v0.82), you'll have to manually download it from Arkayn's website and put it in the MW@H project folder. |

My guess is you have not connected since they changed servers and you have old info in the master file for the project. I just ended up hitting update several times and it eventually downloaded the new master file and started connecting just fine. |

....It's my machine or is there something wrong with the MW@h scheduler server? I suspect your MW preferences are now asking for the wrong thing as you have been away for a while, check the detail of MW preferences for the machine location thats attatched to your PC. Its possible it is asking for something from the server that it cant supply. Regards Zy |

Thanks to all! I did first the easiest way ;-) - I pressed a few times the update button - after a few times BOINC said: Milkyway@home 13.02.2012 23:05:03 update requested by user Milkyway@home 13.02.2012 23:05:08 Fetching scheduler list Milkyway@home 13.02.2012 23:05:09 Master file download succeeded Milkyway@home 13.02.2012 23:05:14 Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. The GTX260 is only for crunching (secondary GPU) so lags are not a problem.. ;-) Like this? Maximum CPU% for graphics (0...100): 100 Frequency (in Hz) that should try to complete individual work chunks. Higher numbers may run slower but will provide a more responsive system. Lower may be faster but more laggy. default 60.0 (corresponds to 60 fps): 1 Thanks. |

yeah, sometimes updating - or even resetting - the project doesn't do it for me when my host fails to find the HTTP file...that's why i suggested detaching and reattaching, just in case those other suggestions didn't work. btw, thanks Blurf for keeping the other thread on topic and creating this new thread... |

Mashing update for about 15 minutes fixed this eventually for me too. So just keep trying and eventually it seems it'll work. |
