to anyone who has more knowledge about GPU usage than myself (which would be anyone who can read..(this)..The msg, is as follows " an ATI GPU supporting double precision math is required"...I have an ATI VisionTek Radeon HD 5450 w/1024 mb.mem..During my previous project "Einstein@home" when GPU computing was introduced and they advised me that my Radeon HD 5450 would be prone to overheating with intensive use..I'm not donating GPU usage at this time but I'm curious about the msg. on weather my GPU fits that criteria

The accuracy of calculation to map our galaxy needs double precision for the maths, not single precision. I believe single precision is accurate up to 6 or 7 decimal places, where as double precision goes up to 11 or 12 places of decimals.

I am not sure precisely, but I do not think your HD5450 supports double precision.
Go away, I was asleep
