Ok. Simple win now! Winning!!!

Another simple win.

And an other simple win!

Hey ME TOO!!!

KWSN the end of June trip is now a DRIVING trip as the airfare was close to a grand just for the weekend, we will have to see how things go from here. DDD, diners, drive-ins and dives, did a place for breakfast skillets somewhere around you, I will have to ask my wife where as she has been there before, maybe we could meet there if it isn't too much of a drive for you. She is awake, I got her up, and it is called:
Charlie Parker's
700 North St. Springfield, IL 62704
217-241-2104
http://www.charlieparkersdiner.net

She said the "horseshoe sandwich" was good. Do you live near there?

Okay by me!

KWSN I was thinking breakfast on the 30th of June as a VERY VERY tentative date. The family reunion is that weekend, so things could change. I am guessing you are w*&king during the week, so weekdays are out, correct?

You are correct Mickey, and the 30th works great for the both of us.

Mickey is a mouse and I am WAAAY to big to be a mouse, don't worry it happens all the time. Hey the 30th is VERY tentative, but my wife likes it too and since she is the 'tour guide' she is already planning the route so we are there then. It is still months away and many things can still change, but it sounds good to me too!!

As for me I retired, officially, on Jan 1st, but have been off work for over 3 years now, 1 on unemployment. I was making MORE on unemployment then when I was working, due to the way they calculate it!! I retired on disability from being a firefighter in Dec 2001, after being off for over 2 years I started doing part-time pc work for a large government agency for about 5 years, that is where I got the unemployment from.

Yes I KNOW you have heard of Disney! He invented Mickey Mouse and then created multiple theme parks where people now spend MILLIONS of their hard earned dollars while on vacation!! Here is a short cartoon about Micky Mouse.

I was thinking "Mikey", but the mind to hand connection had an error. I repair bucket trucks and snowplows. By trade I'm a industrial robotics tech, but Springfield has very few blue collar jobs, long story how I wound up here. For fun, I like to play with rockets and WINNING!!!

Like I said it happens ALL the time, it's okay!! My wifes uncle, who lives in T'ville, retired from the newspaper because they went robotics, he was able to retire so he did that instead of learn how to make the computers run the show. He used to work in Springfield and commuted every day. I will ask him which paper it was, as I have forgotten. I am guessing you have been, and will soon be again, a VERY busy man, what with winter and all the storms coming your way!!

WINNING!!!

I am torn on that right now, I love my mom OF COURSE, but she has Dementia and has NO CLUE who I am anymore and she is getting worse everyday. My dad is still alive too and he is taking care of my mom at their home. He did finally get a lady to come in during the week to help, but sometimes my mom doesn't know who my dad is either! Sometimes I wish it had been quick and of course other times I am glad she is still here. She won't walk anymore so sits in a wheel chair with her knees permanently bent at 90 degrees, she has been in it for over two years now, and either snoozes or looks around like she has no clue where she is or who anyone around her is. It can be depressing as the lady in that chair is NOT my mom, as I want to remember her! BUT it IS how she is now!!!

In a way I envy you as you can now move on to the grieving process, remembering your mom how she was with all the good times, etc. In other ways I am glad mine is still here, and I am sure I will miss her when she is gone! I am VERY sorry for YOUR loss Microchip and hope that you and your family have fond memories of your mom!!

Yeah, I also know a person who's mom has dementia. It's a tough thing to watch her go away not knowing who you are...

Funeral of mom was today, very emotional for me

Still winning, though
