Maybe its me but very little seems to be moving, Validation is at least 10 days behind so it seems pointless building a massive queue of over 18 Million tasks to be sent, about 12-14 days work. Processing seems to do about 1.5 Million tasks a day and the the validator still has over 3 Million tasks waiting. Would it not make sense to stop producing new work until the huge backlog is cleared ? There also seems difficulty in getting WU's, the system seems very reluctant to send anything for some reason.

+1

The question is, if building up new work does any harm to the speed of validation or sending of tasks ...
I'm sure the admin/s knows what he/they is/are doing.
We shouldn't forget, they too have only two hands and one head!

I have over 46T tasks in the "pending" queue.
But am not worried about anything.

Donations would probably help to buy faster equipment that can also handle more things at the same time.

Have a nice day!

YES - many,
but I also still have over 55000 (55 thousand) pending.

Ok…I am still waiting but nothing compared to your backlog.

Had 2 WU’s validated. Sadly I think the project is heading for a major crash. The most resilient of hardware will not sustain the obvious pressure it is under. The waiting for validation queue has almost doubled from yesterday to nearly 4 Million so even if the inevitable crash doesn’t occur it will take weeks to catch up. I am not going to do any more work now. I fail to see the logic in producing new WU’s when it so far behind.

I will be turning off the WU generators for 24 hours tomorrow to let things catch up. If that isn't enough time, we can always leave the WU generators off for longer.

It's also worth mentioning that the validation only partially happens on our end. Part of the validation is sending the WU out to multiple users. So, if people don't crunch, then they are not just preventing new WUs from being crunched, but they are also slowing down the validation process.

It looks like the validator had been down for ~12+ hours, so that contributed to the rising number of WUs pending validation. I've brought it back up and the number should continue falling like it was before.
