So based purely on hosts that are crunching both MW and SETI. MW is returning 1.3 times as much credit as SETI.

No! ...based purely on Intel hosts running Windows XP that are crunching both MW and SETI...

My Intel based Mac with OS X is returning significantly more credit from SETI than from MW. The MW "optimization" for Mac OS X is not nearly as efficient as the SETI optimization in the AK V8 app. This tells me that the Mac compilation must be using a poor compiler, incorrect flags, or both. It's too bad the project "irritated" Crunch3r enough that he doesn't provide us with better optimized apps for the Macs.

Give jedirock a couple of days to work on his app.

No, overall this is the case. And this takes into account hosts (any host, any OS) that are running both SETI and MW. It most likely shows that a larger proportion of hosts on MW are able to use an optimised app (that gives more credit) than on SETI.

As for the Mac app not giving as much credit, it just goes to show that you shouldn't cheese people off, but Crunch3r also cracked it with SETI and left when people hassled him about the optimised app there. The way forward was then picked up and built upon Crunch3rs work by the consortium of folks who nutted it all out (with some ongoing help by Crunch3r) and gave us the optimised app we see today. It looks like jedirock has picked the ball up for the Mac app - but then nothing beats the app for the ATI cards!

What will significantly skew this chart now is people running ATI graphics cards. My 4850 will be heading towards the lofty heights of over 50,000 RAC/day and maybe towards 70,000/day! AMAZING STUFF, especially considering my Q9450 was only looking at 10,000/day based on CPU crunching.
