T - 8 Hours & 8 min till landing.
Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected?
If it makes sense, DON'T do it.

In so far as the boosters "O" rings are concerned they were/are made by a US company named "Shambam". The O rings in question failed because the NASA engineers thought they new better than the people who designed the seals and changed the seal GROOVE Detail hence they failed.

Moon or Mars? 'Next giant leap' sparks debate

Buzz Aldrin walks on the moon on July 20, 1969. NASA is
preparing to send astronauts back and build a lunar base.

NASA is eyeing the moon's heavily cratered south pole as
a place to send astronauts for the next lunar mission.

The O-rings that failed were made by Morton Thiokol. This link is a Wiki entry on the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster itself.

Oh and I didn't see an entry for Shambam anywhere in that wiki entry, a link would be nice though, Here's the Google link I did do though.

I think some have forgotten or think the wrong idea about Stars at night on Earth and think It will be the same everywhere the sky is black, It won't be depending on the side of the planetary body one is on.

On the Moon You can see stars at night in the Moons own Shadow just like on Earth at night as the Earth has a Shadow.

On the Moon You can not see the stars on the Dayside where the Astronauts landed, Some assume, Its a black sky on the Moon and so they ask where are the stars? As they forget about the Suns Intense Glare(No Atmosphere worth mentioning, If any, take the Helmet off there and one Dies).
Day Sky color
----------------------
Moon = Black
Earth = Blue

Night Sky color(Planetary Shadow)
----------------------
Moon = Black
Earth = Black

Hey Folks, I had an 8" Refractor Telescope at the time. I not only glimpsed the things several times going out but on clear nights you could see it pass the face of the Moon!!! :-b...

The Houston Chronicle has from what little I've read, A story entitled: 40 years after Apollo 11

Cold, with an odor

After returning to the lunar module, Armstrong and Aldrin pressurized the cabin, gathered material to leave behind to lighten Eagle's ascent, and then had to pressurize the cabin again. As a result it got very, very cold inside, Aldrin recalled. And there was this odor. It was the moon rocks. They were smelling the surface of another world.

“It certainly wasn't a disturbing odor; it was one you had to just get close to and get used to,” Aldrin said. “It was like wet ashes in a fire.”

One thing I heard on CNN and I saw on TV back then is sure the flag was put on the Moon, But with extreme effort as the pole was not going into the ground easily as the gravity there is only 1/6th what It is here on Earth, So not much force could be put into planting the Flag into the ground there, It would have been better to drill a proper hole and then plant the flag as everytime the Astronauts tried to shove the pole into the ground, The pole made the flag vibrate as If It were on earth in a breeze, Heck the Astronauts had problems just walking there and not falling over as the suits are pressurized and so their a bit stiff, Vacuum is not healthy to breathe of course.

One major point all the people that are stupid enough to believe the Moon landings was faked is they are looking at camera technology and computer graphics from the expertise of the 1990s through to 2009. Way back in the late 1960s and 1970s things were primitive, and doing the real thing was the only option.

Clearly the conspitatorises have seen Capricorn one too many times.

I apologise for my strong wording at the beginning.
Go away, I was asleep

Not a problem here, Some People simply assume that what they see here should be the same everywhere, When the It isn't necessarily so.
