Somebody at least has released more WUs:

Results ready to send 2,607

BUT my BOINC manager insists that the MW server is down for maintanance, so I still can't report my work done.

Yup, already there! ;-)
But I still would like to report my finished MW WUs... in time. *grin*

Hm, but my BOINC manager still thinks the MW server is down and doesn't want to report my WUs from last night...

Basically the server likes to wait for me to be asleep or at a meeting and then crash. When I'm watching it, it plays nice.

Hah... you really can't trust these evil computers!!! *biiiig smile*
25) Message boards : Number crunching : Receving 24 WUs - should get 48 (Message 37655)

I guess one of your boxes has 4 cores and the other one 8?
The number of WUs we can download at once is defined by the number of cores: 6 WUs per core is the maximum set on the server side.
If those WUs are done you'll get the next bunch. :-)

Yep, that should do the trick! ;-)

EDIT: It seems alright now, I could join your team if I wasn't with my team already. *grin*

I am new to being a founder of a team and have no idea why people can not join my team. Is there a proper tutorial on how to found a team so that new members can join?

My friend says he found my team but there is no join team button like other teams have?
Trallyus

Go to your account -> Administer (team) -> allow new team members. ;-)

The new WUs still behave strange but at least I found a way how to crunch them without having my box going havoc:
I've changed my MW settings in the app_info.xml to crunch only 1 WU at a time!
Before I was crunching 2 WUs in parallel (and didn't have any trouble with that until those new WUs were released... *grin*).
At least a little workaround... ;-)

These new WUs don't work at all for me! *sigh*
The card seems idle (I don't even hear the fans of the ATI card!!) but the whole system gets sluggish and unresponsive as soon as I try to crunch one of these WUs.
The old ones do process as usual (and I can hear the lovely sound of my GPU fans again... *grin*)

I hate to say this, but the de 11-13 series does not seem to crunch on my video card.

5830, it just runs up the time but never actually does anything.

The de_s222 units crunched just fine though.

Same here with my HD 4850. Except I can't say if the s222 would crunch because my card was kind of stuck. It seems the card was busy 'doing nothing'... :-(
The screen was flickering but the WUs just wouldn't crunch on... *sigh*
I reset MW and put in NNW for now. Hope there's a fix soon.

I am glad I am such a lazy cat... I am just way too lazy to go around and abort WUs I don't like to crunch en masse.
Nor am I experienced enough to use scripts. So I can just let my ATI card crunch whatever it gets. *yum yum*
And AFAICS I'm still getting my fair share of short ones, too so I can't complain. ;-)))

Is it possible to remind me how I can get 2 WUs crunching together again, please?

Use the count tags! Example:

<coproc>
<type>ATI</type>
<count>0.5</count>
</coproc>

Question:

Where is the cc_config file located?

It should be in the data directory of BOINC. It depends on your installation.
Most probably it's C:\Program Files\BOINC\ OR C:\ProgramData\BOINC\.

PS. If it's not there you have to create it manually with a simple text editor and put it in the correct folder. ;-)
