What coolers guys use in here for milkyway for HD4870X2.

I folded five years and never had overheat problem in year. I stopped gpu folding because unstable machine in wu start and seems AMD newer fix drivers or better cores for this issue. Any all cores are in pre-beta and clients too, one client or two cores per year that bad and always have problems running that folding thing.
Anyway milkiway work perfect on my card with no problem.

I use stock cooler.
Are you getting a message saying that it is too hot or do you just see a high temperature in CCC?
Mine, 18C ambient [winter in Australia], are all showing 78-80C. I think they are designed to run hot so until you get a message you shouldn't worry.

I have summer right now. First gpu get up to 110c and ambient 10-26c other gpu running 66C in winter have outside -25c i can use it in winter stock cooler with little open window. I not like replace cooler. It easy borke the card.

I not got message yet, but frst gpu running full speeds and other 2D clocks and it not overheat. If i kick other gpu that running in 2d cloks to 3d the card fan go to 100% it not friendly to sleep in same room or surf internet.
