I got Stream SDK 2.0 from amd site it expire 30th September it not have inside anymore CAL it have inside test apps and opencl.dll and unknown files to me . I installed it to virtual pc because it refuse to install in win 7. This SDK targeted only CPU and intended for ATI's OpenCL implementation evaluation. It can't be used to target ATI GPUs. SDK 1.4 (beta too) is most recent one that can be used to program ATI's GPU AFAIK. |

CPU used in stream cal to feed GPU it use default more CPU usage but like folding@home can be use 1% of cpu if gpu app use this thing in system variables marked this support have in CAL. BROOK_YIELD = 2 CAL_NO_FLUSH = 1 CAL_PRE_FLUSH = 1 FLUSH_INTERVAL = 128 if this is high number it use more gpu and less cpu if MW app use support this environment variables. It use after support this low CPU usage like nvida do. |
