New Machine Set-up(i7)

I'm setting up a brand new i7 920,with a gtx275 in it(Vista home basic 64 bit). Do any of you people have any tips for me, I haven't done a brand new set-up in many years, not sure I did it right last time, its been so long. Please keep any tips in laymans terms if possible as I have absolutely no formal education as far as computers go( I left school b4 computers were very well known in/68). Anyway things are working pretty good now, it only takes about 6 mins to run a CUDA wu, not sure how long it will take for CPUs to finish their wu, but I'm going to run out my cache b4 I try to install the opti app anyway.
