Good day all.
I'm setting up a brand new i7 920,with a gtx275 in it(Vista home basic 64 bit). Do any of you people have any tips for me, I haven't done a brand new set-up in many years, not sure I did it right last time, its been so long. Please keep any tips in laymans terms if possible as I have absolutely no formal education as far as computers go( I left school b4 computers were very well known in/68). Thanx in advance for any advice!!!
Yer fellow gruncher Bruce ;-p

I probably should, but I dont have an XP CD, plus I'm stubborn, I paid $129.99 fer the Vista CD. So I guess I'll stick my CD in and follow the insructions, that usually works!

Took all damn day to get things running!!!! vista still wont let me register my copy of it! Anyway things are working pretty good now, it only takes about 6 mins to run a CUDA wu, not sure how long it will take for CPUs to finish their wu, but I'm going to run out my cache b4 I try to install the opti app anyway. But so far very happy with the machines performance in general.(I did use 64 bit)
