Am getting a few Computation Errors after 1 second here and there, but most WUs seem to be going thru OK.

This is probably due to your BOINC client 6.10.4 It can leave one workunit in progress and switch to another more recently downloaded one. When it goes back to the interrupted unit it may error out. If you use 6.10.3 this clears up.

No need to move backwards to 6.10.3 ;)
Try the 6.10.5 client (works like a charm here).
All bugs of 6.10.3 & 6.10.4 are fixed in that version.

Windows 64 bit ->boinc_6.10.5_x64.zip
Windows 32 bit ->boinc_6.10.5_x32.zip

It did go crazy and downloaded a TON of WCG WUs.... I mean like 2 weeks' work, when my queue data is set to 0.5 days.

Edit: Correction, it is set to 0.10 days of queue.... and its still getting more. >_<

Wasn't that the main issue with 6.10.0 through 6.10.2?

Or was that the problem with 6.10.4 ... lord I am getting lost with all these issues ...

With Vista 32 and 6.10.3 I have a reasonable WCG queue (my other project on the Q9300) to use the CPU while running GPU MW tasks on the HD4870 I have ... Oh, I have mine set to 1 day extra ...

70 days or so and I should have Turquoise for all active projects but CEP ... one down, several to go ... :)

Cat 9.9, win 7 32 bit, 4870x2, boinc 6.10, and ati 0.2 ..

Main problem is choppy video graphics playback and GUI compared with the very smooth video and GUI which was completly not noticable slowdowns in previous setups.

Edited app_info when it comes to the F tag and N tag, 1 concurrent work unit or higher/lower frequency rates had little to no effect on video performance!

I heavily use my computer as a media center and don't wish to pause the application while the computer is in use!

Rollback? Is it expected due to the code rewrite which emphasizes app performance over everything else? Anyone else experience this?

Have you tried the W tag? Try increasing it above the default "1" to 1.1 or 1.2.

Thanks for the tip, I've resolved the issue by matching the F tag with my monitor's refresh rate, at 85 hz.

My TV runs at 30hz, now the gui is fluid smooth and so is video playback!

I've reset w and n to their defaults since they have little effect compared with F.

I ran .1, .2 .3 and .4, none of them went crazy like this. :( I had to abort a bunch of units, as there was no way my machine could do it. With a rough estimate, it downloaded near 30 days worth of work, all with 10 day deadlines. So no, the bugs are not fixed in 6.10.5.
