I'm having a problem on my Win2K Pro client. Frequently, a Milkyway WU seems to get stuck. My CPU is at 0%, the WU time isn't changing and nothing is going on. If I suspent all milkyway units, then BOINC goes onto someone else and takes off. Does MW have some sort of built in rest period? |

... and the WU is shown as running in the BOINC Manager ? This is a known problem with some older BOINC API and lib. If the application would be linked against the recent BOINC libs and API the problem would be fixed. |

I have the stuck problem. The status shows "Running, high priority" with the cpu usage less than 5%. It happens when the work unit completes - ie - progress reaches 100% and to completion drops to 0 seconds. At that time, completion resets to 00:01:10 and the progress resets to about 96%. Thereafter nothing changes and the cpu usage drops to less than 5%. Sometimes, stopping and restarting the app works, but not always. Suspending and Resuming does not work. I am running win2K pro with the latest Boinc build (v5.10.30). Any suggestions other than abort? LouB |
