Hi,

I'd like to compliment the work done on the project, and enjoy watching the volumes of files run through my machine. Thanks!

Could we possibly get work that lasts more than 20 min.? I know it's silly, but I feel compelled to make sure that those files get sent back more often than other projects, since they're short.

no rush, just a thought...

BOINC can take care of that on its own. The WUs we’re getting appear to have deadlines five days from the time of issue, so there shouldn’t be any great urgency, but if BOINC estimates that any of the tasks you have on board are unlikely to get done on time, it will give them higher priority.

Since this project is in its development & testing phase, I imagine we can expect tasks to be somewhat shorter than is typical for projects in ‘production mode’. Not only does this give the developers more immediate feedback, but also helps prevent users from wasting a lot of time on ‘buggy’ WUs or tests that don’t work as expected.

workunits will be getting longer. Nate just implemented the convolution code and we should be updating the binaries today and tomorrow -- this will increase runtime for workunits using the convolution by around a factor of 4-8. theres more stuff in the works that'll keep the work units getting larger as well.
