Looks like we have the new drives installed. I've started things up and running, let me know how they go.

I'm hoping tomorrow we'll be able to get the server code updated so we can automatically send out ATI GPU applications, and test out the new BOINC credit scheme.

I'd also like to say thanks to all the people who have stuck it out with us through the worst problem we've ever had with the project to date :)

Just back from work, and read this good news!
Hope the server with the new drives will back online for a little while.

Me too :) I think everything should be fine unless the construction starts to cause a lot more vibration, but that shouldn't happen as it's 99% done.

Our next step is to get the server code upgraded so we can recognize ATI GPUs and also test out the new BOINC credit scheme. I'm hoping that'll happen tomorrow. We'll also be recompiling the feeder with some changes that I think should help keep work flowing and improve the performance of the webpage.

The milkyway assimilator/validator automatically generates workunits when the queue of available ones gets low. It's part of the different search algorithms we're running to try and find the best fit of our astronomers models to the data they have about where stars are in the sky.

Travis

Many thanks for informing us the new hard drives are installed and the server(s) operational.

I have a few more Collatz WUs to crunch yet before I return, but keep up the good work.

;))
Go away, I was asleep
