I just checked my ATI host, and it would appear I am currently getting no work as I have reached my daily quota of a mere 30 tasks. I can do that much work in well under an hour, so wonder why that limit has been put into effect? Is it a bug that is going to be fixed, or a deliberate action to restrict what work we all do? I noticed it when I potted my RAC for all projects combined had dropped from 40-50K to about 13K.

You should have a max of 5000 wu/day. Don't know why yours is down to 30. Maybe resetting MW in Boinc will help?

Hi Debs,

It looks like you're throwing out errors, You may have the wrong ATI app installed. I had this happen a week or so ago when I upgraded BOINC.

What version of Catalyst are you using and which ATI app did you install?

No problems here, currently getting ~480 WU's per hour on fastest cruncher.

Labbie:

I'm getting the following error messages in BOINC:

30/11/2009 15:00:24 Milkyway@home Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.
30/11/2009 15:00:24 Milkyway@home Requesting new tasks
30/11/2009 15:00:34 Milkyway@home Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
30/11/2009 15:00:34 Milkyway@home Message from server: No work sent
30/11/2009 15:00:34 Milkyway@home Message from server: (reached daily quota of 30 tasks)

The only tasks I can see in my stats that finished with an error are 8 over a 5 day period, so errors at my end are not the problem :(

I tried resetting the project, and as I expected it made no difference. After all, it is the server that tells BOINC I have a daily quota of only 30 tasks.

I use BOINC 6.6.20 and ATI app 0.19f, which I believe to have ben the latest for quite some time now :)

Also, I am using the latest catalyst/drivers. I cannot see how that would affect my daily quota, and I am pretty sure I have had some successful tasks since installing it (although only a very small number of errors show up in my stats, it seems to purge far too quickly to look over completd tasks and check for problems!).

The ATI driver package I installed is the latest from ATI, filename 9-11_xp64_dd_ccc_enu.exe (I am running on XP64). CCC version is 2009.1104.959.17837. The driver version is 8.671.0.0. Card is an HD4850

I look at your computer and all I can see is errors. Not a successful result in your list.

Did you do the copy and rename of files when you installed the latest drivers?

You are 2 versions behind on the ATI app and quite a ways behind on BOINC.

Gas:

Thanks, I had forgotten I needed to rename files when Iupdated the drivers. Have done that, and will see how things change when I can get more work :)

arkayn:

Thanks, I have downloaded the GPU app and the new BOINC and installed them. Just waiting now to see if that fixes things alongside the dll filerenames :)
