Question 1..
I have 22 tasks for Milkyway@home from V21 all saying they'll be done in 7 minutes.

How can I get my BOINC manager to stop getting new tasks that take 8 hours, (I believe these new tasks are from V19) and run the ones that take only 7 minutes?

Question 2..
I was running 4 Milkyway@home tasks at once, I decided to add another Project to my boinc manager, but it caused my system to slow right up, (I did Climite Change) so I detached the project and now Milkyway is only running 2 tasks?? I have finished 2 and it started 2 more.

How can I get BOINC to run 4 Milkyway tasks at one time again?

Go to the Milkyway project preferences and deactivate "use CPU".
The much faster running WUs you see are calculated on your GPU, not the CPU ;)

But then your CPU will idle, so you may opt to join another project to load also your CPU cores.

No idea what you are seeing, but if you deactivate the CPU work and don't attach to another project you will finally see only a single Milkyway workunit running, because you have only one GPU to run it at. Maybe you just try a different project?

I have a Quad core CPU (Q6600).

it says Milkyway@home 0.19 by the ones that are running, the 22 7 minute ones say Milkyway@home 0.21

I assume the number at the end is the Version?

edit: it's now running 3 at once.
edit2: could it be as I turned the overclock off on my GPU? making my ATI 4850 to run at
GPU Clock - 500
Memory Clock - 750

instead of
GPU Clock - 665
Memory Clocl - 1015

I don't like my GPU running at 100°c unless I'm gaming, so I've deactivated the GPU usage, I want it to use only my CPU.

edit3: I've settled to crunching 2 at a time, as long as my Work points keep ticking over I don't mind too much. I thought this was all CPU usage, I didn't realise it was using my GPU too. my 4850 has old crap stock cooler on it so I don't want to stress it too much.
