"What are you?!?"
"I'm alive."

Hollies

I see. One must see the oong title.
But do the lyrics match the episode's theme(s)?

Do they really think they can have the Cylon uprising occur during the second 1/2 of Season 1, given how far along the plot has reached as yet? Seems like they'll have to fly to it all of the sudden. :(

I don't believe I've seen any series dragged out as this one. I think they do the 1/2 season thing because they don't even know how to develop the storyline ahead of time.

I'm just not seeing it.

Now they've canceled Stargate universe as well.
Not to say that I was any fan of the Stargate franchise, but it is becoming clearer that the SyFy channel is barely about science fiction. The BB grade movies they produce are a joke, and sci-fi fans do not want "reality" tv or wrestling.

Babylon 5. Best Video SciFi....EVER.

It would be canceled, if it ran on SyFy, these days.

I like voyager better.

That, too, would probably be canceled if it ran on the USA science fiction channel, SyFy.
They have canceled Caprica, the Battlestar Galactica prequel, and Stargate: Universe.
They show wrestling and reality shows. There is even going to be a cooking show, "The Quantum Kitchen" or something like that.

I wish they would seperate out all of these things, plus the horror/chiller shows/movies they show on the channel.

Unfotunately, the SyFy channel is part of the NBC group. The BBC channel seems to be much better at showing science fiction these days than the SyFy channel.

I really dislike the new name too, SciFi was much better than SyFy!

SciFi/SyFy has obviously failed as a cable channel. They're probably just fulfilling some contractual obligations to provide the programming, or barefacedly making the most of their remaining advertising and optimizing profits in the endgame.
Too bad, but in my NVHO it never really took off anyway.
Television in general has an aversion to good stories and writing and SciFi has always been especially vulnerable in that respect..it falls apart faster and worse than other genres when not done well.
At least that's my NVHO as a 50 year 'serious' scifi reader.

The change to SyFy? A rare bit of honesty in the industry. They're rebranding themselves as crap.

It was a very excellent series. Another good short lived one IMO was Firefly.

Some years ago in the UK we had "Blakes 7" and "Logan's Run" both quite excellent.

Don't drink water, that's the stuff that rusts pipes
