Hi, Thought I'd put up some card stats as there are many here who are covertly using these cards in their arsenal. Firstly I'll start with my favorite budget killer the 4830. This is an amazing card and is 'still' a high ranking best bang per buck card. (No more than £45 used) HD4830 Out of the box the card clocks in at 575/900 The Sapphire stock cooler gets me to 730/950 without mods which is a 25% gain, something not to sneezed at. For gaming I found these clocks unstable but perfect for Milkyway. Typical WU runtime
OC (730/950) ~ 240 seconds
OC (850/800) ~ 207 seconds

A little update on the HD4770 I decided to crossflash to the Asus TOP BIOS and applied a bump to vGPU. Overclocked straight to 935Mhz without even bating an eyelid. 70C on the stock fan at 100%. I didn't want to be greedy on the clock as I have the VF1000 heat sink fan to apply ;) The result 1 WU churned out in 190 seconds. I think 1ghz on this card is going to be very easy. |

The last (I think?) validated WUs from some of mine: 5850 @ 800MHz (single) GPU time: 102.461 seconds, wall clock time: 104.417 seconds 4890 @ 950MHz (1 of 2 in CF) GPU time: 150.716 seconds, wall clock time: 152.416 seconds 4890 @ 900MHz (1 of 2 in CF) GPU time: 158.782 seconds, wall clock time: 160.257 seconds 4870 @ 800MHz (1 of 2 in CF) GPU time: 180.025 seconds, wall clock time: 181.822 seconds 4850 @ 700MHz (1 of 2 in CF) GPU time: 206.234 seconds, wall clock time: 207.998 seconds |

Thanks Brickhead that's very useful information, very nice results too. EDIT : OK I went to 1ghz with ease on the VF1000. Load temps 50C :) :) WU time = 177 seconds. Think I'll stop here and stick with this as a 24/7 stable |

4870 @ 800MHz (1 of 2 in CF) Actually, that one is a single card. (Fingers quicker than brain, sorry.) |
