When I go to tasks on my profile I see that I get 213.76 for every single task. is this normal? because some task take way longer than other tasks. at the moment I get the same amount of points for a gpu task that took 10 minutes and a gpu task that took 8 hours.

Credits are fixed here, you get 213.76 no matter how long the task takes you to finish.

The ones that took 8 hours are actually CPU tasks, that is why they took so long.

THere are a number of ways credit is awarded now these days. The original plan was to be roughly based on the total computation effort done. This was calculated based on the benchmark scores and the total computation effort of the task (time it took) and that number is the "claim" you submit with the work. Because the benchmarks are so inconsistent and it is very difficult to estimate the work effort and other factors many projects went to a fixed award as it just works out to be easier.

There are a few other schemes on various projects including the one on SaH which has a long term deflationary term used that over time slowly reduces the awards because of the gradual increases in computing capability.

There is another "universal" proposal in the works that is postulated by Dr. Anderson that is intended to "cure" all ills and restore the cross-project "fairness" so that the same amount of time expended on your system will earn you the same award regardless of project (assuming the projects move off fixed awards and that the new system works) ...

Since we have been waiting for this for like forever ... don't hold thy breath ... :)
