I understand there are problems from time2time, but what is going on when I get so many "already reported" messages? that's no fun, wasted energy. the reporting was well within deadline, 5870. thanks.

also, what is a good 2nd project for an ati gpu? collatz? anything else?

Already reported means that the first time it reported them, it got through, but the acknowledgment did not make it back to you.

You still will get the credit for them.

Collatz is the only other fully operating ATI project out there. Lunatics is still working on the ATI app for testing at SETI Beta.

it surprises that ati not more involved in dc; people will buy gpus just for crunching especially with the sick numbers these days. I will do more crunching with this 5870 in 2 weeks than all my previous effort. these numbers are insane, a pc doing million a day??

it will be nice to have more options for ati cards, so will keep an eye on Lunatics.

There are several different "camps" for DC and BOINC is only one of them. When you installed your driver there is also a supported DC Framework that has its own followers.

That group does not have the diversity of projects and potentials of BOINC perhaps ... but it has its own fanatical followers...

Then there are the isolated projects each of which has its own infrastructure...

If you are interested there are web sites out there that you can mouse about to learn more...
