One of my wingmen with a very special P4 doing wu's in less than 200 seconds.... He is using anon platform and a very early version of BOINC ... these versions of BOINC ran the tasks on the GPU but reported them as being run on the CPU ... I don't know how else he can be doing it ... because at the reported clock rate there is no way to run the tasks off that fast on a CPU ... |

It also looks like he might be using an outdated app or maybe even a single precision one as the only valid results are without a wingmen, at least on the first page that I checked. ![]() |

Whether a GPU or a hacked CPU application, the results being returned are not correct to the required degree of accuracy as all tasks with quorum of 2 are invalid. One possibility is someone who has updated from an earlier model ATI card to a HD 5850 and has not updated their GPU application version to the newer version with the Cypress fix. This kind of thing should get cleaned up when the milkyway3 application is introduced. |

IIRC, there was a BOINC ver 6.1.0 that was a hack to increase the claimed credit value. (Not much use here with fixed credit tasks.) I hope things can soon be updated to allow the validator to filter out glitches like this, accidental or intentional. |

Well, with luck Travis will see and take appropriate action in his copious free time ... |

Found a couple more wingmen with problems.. This is a different one, but nothing but errors... http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/show_host_detail.php?hostid=169067 Here's another that is not completing any with a wingman.. http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/show_host_detail.php?hostid=126692 I did not check them all, just a few. And here is an output file from the first one.. is that (-np) a legitimate input argument?
