Couldn't find a better place (or a correct person to e-mail to) for this. Anyway, my problem is that I have 2 different CPID:s. Dunno what went wrong because I've used the same e-mail for all of my projects. Would be great if some server admin could switch the wrong ID to correct one in my account. I'm not hoping too much so any solution to this is fine, such as an account and wrong ID delete so I can try again. (Without some kind of transfer I'll lose those around 1000 points but that's much better than 2 separate IDs.) The wrong CPID I have over here is: 176deef220dc6cef44dc6efb7ebc46ff The correct CPID I normally use is: d49d80905d33a5ef52e0476c0903bf25 I'll keep milkyway on pause until I can get the future points under the correct CPID. Thanks. |

No one can change the CPID but your actions. It's done automatically by the server software. A new CPID is generated when you attach a new project. Besides verifying that the same E-mail address is used by all the projects (closely check the spelling and that no Uppercase was used), you also have to run the projects on the same computer so that a unified CPID can be settled on. If using more than one computer it is best to have at least one project in common between them. It can take time (a couple of weeks) before the projects synchronize to the same CPID (usually the older one). It is also a good idea to be using the same username on your projects so that third party site can unify your accounts under the same name and CPID. Stopping the processing of a project before synchronization of the CPID has occurred ensures that it wont happen. Note: You can check if the email is really the same by using the forgot password feature to see if you receive an email reply from the projects. Questions? Answers are in the BOINC Wiki. Thanks for such a detailed answer. I should also mention that this problem seems to have solved itself the way you explained. I can only find one ID trough BOINC Synergy with all 3 of my projects right now ^^ Gonna get these 3 projects more even because I had this one paused for a while. |
