Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected?
If it makes sense, DON'T do it.

I think there might be a server problem; none of the last WU's got validated...

Yep, also that happens from time to time ;o)

Boinc keeps saying "Fetching Scheduler List", and then reschedules for 24 hours later.

Please help.

I am getting that too. Been happening for nearly a day now. Had to switch my computer over to another project as it ran out last night. I have tried shutting Boinc down and restarting but that doesn't make a difference. Don't really want to detach/attach as that loses the work I have already done.

Anyone have any ideas?

Is it any better yet? One possible cause of that was just that the server was under heavy load when I started it back up as everyone was hammering away for workunits.

Sorry. No better for me neither.

Having read the provided Boinc page, when I try to connect all I get is:

24/06/2010 8:39:39 PM|Milkyway@home|Fetching scheduler list

Nothing else. Then after a few seconds, it tells me that communication is deferred for 24 hours (this is in the Projects view of Boinc manager).

So I don't actually get any error message at all.

Using 6.10.18 and 6.10.19, no problems getting work everytime boinc reports finished tasks automatically or manually.

The problem is with machines that lost contact with MW enough times during yesterday's outage to cause BOINC to recheck the master file. One of my machines is fine, because it didn't timeout yesterday. All of the rest got into the "Fetching" state, and cannot get out because the <scheduler> </scheduler> information does not appear to be in the new project page.
