Currently the client seems to only download 6o working units. With my 5870, I finish these in about 10 minutes. I come back after an hour to find that the client doesn't continue to download new ones. Is there a way to increase the queue or the rate at which the client updates?

No. It is determined by the number of cpu cores you have.

what about downloading new units? Am I supposed to manually downloading them everytime? For some reason, the client doesn't download new units by itself when the old ones are finished

That is a Boinc debt issue. Boinc tries to equal out your projects to the proportions that you have set. If left alone in time it will ask for work. Also make sure your 'connect every' setting is under 7, since the wus are due in 7 days.

The way to work around this is to reset the debt to 0.00 when BM has been closed down

Just let it run and set collatz or dnetc as backup project in case you don't get work from MW

It may be preferable to follow Team_Elteor_Borist's advice and give the system (BOINC Manager - BM) a few days crunching to sort out your problem with debt. This is one BM creates when it thinks you owe time to other projects.

If you feel a need to amend the debt in the file I mentioned, it can usually be found in the BOIBC file buried in the same folder that the Projects are held.

I think this file can be found a it down in the system folder titled Documents & Settings. I have my BM system in a folder I can easily find and not in the normal place.

The file in question is the client_state file,

<client_state>
<host_info>
<timezone>3600</timezone>
<domain_name>penryn</domain_name>
<ip_addr> etc

- and the debts in question are in the part titled <project>

<project>
<master_url>http://boinc.thesonntags.com/collatz/</master_url>
<project_name>Collatz Conjecture</project_name>
<symstore></symstore>
<user_name> etc

- in the section looking like this -

<next_rpc_time>0.000000</next_rpc_time>
<short_term_debt>0.000000</short_term_debt>
<long_term_debt>-30960.435547</long_term_debt>
<cpu_backoff_interval>0.000000</cpu_backoff_interval>
<cpu_backoff_time>0.000000</cpu_backoff_time>
<cuda_debt>0.000000</cuda_debt>
<cuda_backoff_interval>0.000000</cuda_backoff_interval>
<cuda_backoff_time>0.000000</cuda_backoff_time>
<ati_debt>-1785.953125</ati_debt>
<ati_backoff_interval>

The sections relating to various debts (see immediately above) are normally found ZEROED - e.g. 0.000000 (to 6 zeros).

I hope this helps and you find the file folder in question.
