One of our disks was corrupted. It was swapped out today. We think this might have been what was causing the invalid workunits. If you're still having problems please let us know here. --Travis |

Travis, did we lose all of the WUs as far as the science is concerned? If so, will they be resubmitted for processing? -Mike |

Travis, did we lose all of the WUs as far as the science is concerned? If so, will they be resubmitted for processing? I think everything on our end (at least science-wise) is just fine. The searches we're doing now should give us some really interesting results. For the searches with fix in the title, Matt N. and Ben W. have constrained some of Nate's work; which should hopefully give us some very accurate information about those areas of the sky and should hopefully put the nail in the coffin showing that the approach we're using here at MilkyWay@Home can give just as good results (if not better ones) than traditional approaches on a supercomputer. |

That is good news. I was worried that all of the WUs that were marked invaled in bulk were lost. I think we did get credit for them, but I wondered if they might be rejected because the validator marked them all as being invalid. If the new searches pan out as expected, will the project status be changed to production status instead of the BETA status we are in now? -Mike |

The site was down again this morning. Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected? If it makes sense, DON'T do it. |

One of our disks was corrupted. Dont't worry. If you are lucky, the bulge and the halo are still in shape ;-) |
